Description

The Embassy of Canada to Italy, in collaboration with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Centro Studi Italia-Canada (CSIC) and Nctm Law Firm, is hosting a Roundtable Discussion with a focus on the implementation of national hydrogen strategies.

The dialogue is part of the existing collaboration between Canada and Italy in the energy sector within the international organizations of which they are part and in the context of the Joint Declaration signed by the two Governments in 2014. The latter recognized the need to strengthen and expand commercial relations and scientific and technological collaboration in the energy sector for the purpose of energy security and responsible use of resources.

The announcement by Honourable Seamus O’Regan, Minister of Natural Resources Canada, on the Hydrogen Strategy for Canada launched in December 2020, proposes to resume the dialogue between Canada and Italy with the aim to discover the vast opportunities offered by Canada in terms of internationalization for Italian companies and to raise awareness of the Canadian technological capabilities which have been at the forefront of the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen sector.
