Participation is free of charge and submitted to ICC’s approval.

Although still lacking guidance and implementation, the web tax is already in force in Italy from January 1st and it affects the whole digital sector: editors, advertisers, media centers, ad networks and beyond. As currently framed, in fact, the Italian web tax probably affects Italian enterprises more than the giants of the digital economy it originally targeted. Also, the Italian web tax, just like its French version, is straining the relationships with the US, who might react under Section 301 of the US Trade Act. The panellists will discuss all these issues from their different perspectives.
