ICC Italia, in collaboration with, the Luiss School of Law within the Master in Food Law, is proud to present Mario Cerutti for an engaging conversation on the pressing topic of sustainability within the agri-food sector, with a special focus on coffee. Mario Cerutti, Chief Institutional Relations & Sustainability Officer of the Lavazza Group and Secretary of the Lavazza Foundation, is renowned as one of the foremost experts in the coffee supply chain.

In this exclusive event, Mario Cerutti will share his expertise and experiences, delving into the innovative strategies and initiatives employed by the Lavazza Group to drive positive change in sustainability practices within the coffee industry. From ethical sourcing and responsible production to waste reduction and community empowerment, attendees will discover how sustainability is not only a moral imperative but also a strategic necessity for businesses operating in the coffee sector.

The event is organized as part of the international project ICC Agri-Food Initiative.

Speaker

Mario Cerutti | Chief Institutional Relations & Sustainability Officer of the Lavazza Group and Secretary of the Lavazza Foundation.
Graduated in Business Administration at the University of Torino and got an MBA from the University of Dallas.
He has been working in Lavazza since 1986 where currently he is Chief Institutional Relations and Sustainability Officer and Secretary of the Lavazza Foundation.
He has been President of the European Coffee Federation (ECF) from 2004 to 2007 and from 2017 to 2020.
He is currently President of the Italian Coffee Committee (CIdC – Comitato Italiano del Caffè) – the association of large Italian coffee companies – and member of the board of the Institute for Scientific Information on Coffee (ISIC).
He is also a board member of ICP – International Coffee Partners, and WCR – World Coffee Research.
